Classic Recreations has followed up their remake of the 1967 Shelby Mustang GT by offering an open-air version as well. The '67 Shelby G.T.500CR Convertible was the company's final model to gain direct approval from Carroll Shelby before he sadly passed away.

Classic Recreations will offer the new model in two different performance versions.

The entry level 545 model comes with a hand-built 427 cubic inch (7.0 liter) power unit that produces 545hp and is mated with Tremec five speed manual transmission. It also features Carroll Shelby signature rally series 1000 seats, larger 17-inch rear wheels, coilover suspension and authentic Shelby performance parts.

The G.T.500CR 900S halo model features an F1-R Intercooled ProCharger supercharged engine that pumps 780hp to the wheels. It boasts the same highlights as its sibling but also gets suspension and chassis upgrades, a 200mph speedometer and racing-style bucket seats.
