Mazda has launched the new Flairwagon in Japan.

Described as "stylish" and practical, the model features large headlights, a small grille and two sliding rear doors that have an Easy Closure function.

The cabin has a simplistic instrument cluster, chrome trim and a push-button ignition. There's also an air conditioned glove box and split-folding rear seats.

Under the hood, the 660cc engine is available in both naturally-aspirated and turbocharged trim. Regardless of which is selected, it is connected to a CVT transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is optional.

The Mazda Flairwagon is currently on sale and post-tax pricing starts at 1,212,750 yen ($15,280 / €12,310).
