We've already heard reports the 2013 Mercedes S-Class will be available in a variety of body styles, but new details are starting to emerge about the upcoming convertible variant.

Drawing inspiration from the Ocean Drive concept, the production model will reportedly be a two-door convertible with a fabric roof. If this is correct, it's a bit of a disappoint but understandable given the engineering complexities and costs associated with a four-door drop top - or at least one that doesn't look as unwieldy as the Maybach Landaulet.

The engines and interior will likely carryover from the S-Class coupe, but we can expect all four seats will be equipped with an Airscarf system which gently vents warm air around your neck.
