Nissan has announced plans to attempt to set a new Guinness World Speed Record for driving up Goodwood hill in reverse.

Nissan has announced plans to attempt to set a new Guinness World Speed Record for driving up Goodwood hill in reverse.

The bizarre stunt will be attempted by Terry Grant who said "It's a hugely technical test of speed and concentration. But despite the risks, the strength and integrity of Nissan LEAF's design gives me confidence. Whatever happens, I know I'm going to finish the weekend with a serious crick in my neck!"

Nissan wanted to attempt the stunt last year, but officials axed the idea because they thought it was too unsafe given the limited amount of testing that was completed.
