According to a recent report, the 2013 Porsche Cayman will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Essentially a Boxster coupe, the model will ride on a new platform that has a longer wheelbase and a wider track. The car will also benefit from a lightweight body and a revised suspension that promises to deliver impressive handling.

Engine options will carryover from the Boxster, but they will likely be retuned for some extra oomph.  As such, the entry-level model is expected to feature a 2.7-liter flat-six engine that produces 280 PS (206 kW / 276 hp). The Cayman S, on the other hand, could use a 3.4-liter flat-six with 330 PS (243 kW / 325 hp).
