Just in case you still fancy the old 997 over the the brand new 991 generation, harcore Porsche tuner and parts manufacturer, Champion Motorsports, has got something that might elicit a drool response.

They've taken a 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S and transformed it into a street-legal Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. Beyond just simple bolt-on parts, the tuner from Pompano Beach, Forida has practically rebuilt the project vehicle.

To make a long story short, they've installed two VTG turbochargers, carbon fiber RSR bodywork, factory RSR floor undertray, straight-pipe exhaust, new suspension arms, an RSR sway bar and custom fabricated carbon fiber components such as wheel-well housing, brake cooling ducts, inner fender aprons and front floor panel. When all is said and done, power output arrives at 575 hp and 625 lb-ft of torque measured at the wheels.

Chassis upgrades include four-way adjustable Ohlins coilovers for $15,000 and three sets of Champion Motorsport's very own magnesium wheels for $30,000. The final price of everything is $399,900.
