The new 2013 Mercedes A-Class is scheduled to arrive in dealerships in September and we can now reveal the German market pricing will start at €23,978.50 (incl. 19% VAT). This base price will get you the entry-level Mercedes A 180 Blue Effiency model that employs a 1.6-liter petrol unit producing 122 PS (90 kW / 121 hp).
The BMW 1-series is well known to be the chief rival for the new A-Class and it is worth noting that there appears to be quite a price difference between the two. BMW's lowest priced model is the 114i which has a power output of 102PS (75kW/101hp) and a starting sticker price of €21,900 (incl. VAT).
The top performing Mercedes A-Class model to arrive in 2012 will be the A 250 Sport. It features exclusive 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels with red-painted brake callipers as well as AMG-tweaked front axle, suspension and exhaust systems. Pricing for the A 250 Sport will start at €36,860.25 (incl. VAT)
