Roush Performance has announced a new addition to its model lineup with the Roush RS or "Roush Six" package for the 2013 Ford Mustang.
Looking towards the entry-level, Roush Performance has announced a new addition to its model lineup with the Roush RS or "Roush Six" package for the 2013 Ford Mustang.
While power output remains the same at 305 hp (227 kW) from the standard 3.7-liter V6, the RS package focuses on styling and handling components. For the suspension they include lowering springs good for a 1-inch (25mm) drop along with progressive rate jounce bumpers. Factory 19-inch premium painted aluminum wheels and tires from the Mustang GT with Brembo brakes package are swaped out and the body components are taken from Roush Stage vehicles which include high flow upper and lower grilles, front chin splitter, side rocker splitters and rear decklid spoiler. Other features include "R" fender badges and gas cap plus a Roush windshield banner. Optional items include hood scoop, rear quarter window louvers and RS exterior graphics on the side body and hood.
Interior upgrades include Roush embroidered floor mats, billet performance pedals and a Roush center console badge/button. Optional upgrades include GT charcoal leather seating or sport leather seating along with white or black shifter ball and the suede wrapped performance steering wheel. Roush door sill plates are available with ambient lighting.
The RS package starts at $4,000. Fully optioned, with items such as the suede steering wheel, louvers and full leather upgrade, the price is just over $9000.
