Volkswagen has revealed the Beetle Fender Edition at Auto Mobil International (AMI) in Leipzig, Germany this week.

In addition to the Scirocco GTS and the CC R-Line, Volkswagen has also revealed the Beetle Fender Edition at Auto Mobil International (AMI) in Leipzig, Germany this week. First shown as a concept study at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011, the branded special edition Beetle turbo with 197 hp (147 kW / 200 PS) pays tribute to legendary American guitar manufacturer, Fender.

The Beetle (A5) features 18-inch "disc" alloy wheels, sports seats, chrome Beetle Fender Edition badging, air conditioning and, of course, a 400W Fender sound system with USB interface. But perhaps one of the highlights is the "Sunburst" two-tone wood design dash panel which emulates the iconic finish found on so many Fender guitars.

The Beetle Fender Edition goes on sale in Europe this fall followed shortly by the U.S.
