The auction will be held next week and will include "important and rare items" such as a €1.3 ($1.6 / £1) million 599XX Evo which features 750 PS (740 bhp / 552 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.

Besides the track-only supercar, Ferrari will auction off racing suits and helmets from Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. There will also be a Formula 1 V8 engine and memorabilia from previous racing seasons.

If everything goes according to plan, Ferrari will "contribute significant sums to those families who have lost loved ones."
