Abarth has released new details about the Punto SuperSport.
Originally unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the high-performance model is distinguished by matte black accents, Grey Campovolo body stripes and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The cabin is nicely equipped with sport seats, automatic climate control and the Blue&Me connectivity system. There's also a leather-wrapped steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, "electro chrome" trim and unique floor mats.
Power comes from a 1.4-liter MultiAir engine that produces 180 PS (132 kW / 178 hp) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission that enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 216 km/h (134 mph). In terms of efficiency, owners can expect to average 6.1 L/100km (46.3 mpg UK / 38.5 mpg US) with CO2 emissions of 142 g/km.
Production will be limited to 199 units and Italian pricing starts at €21,900 (including VAT).
