Lotus CEO Dany Bahar has been suspended by DRB-Hicom. In his absence, Lotus will be run by four executives from their new parent company.
Lotus CEO Dany Bahar has been suspended "to facilitate an investigation into a complaint about his conduct made by Lotus' penultimate parent company, DRB-Hicom."
Details are limited, but the executive has been placed on leave for undisclosed amount of time. In his absence, Lotus will be run by four executives from DRB-Hicom.
Despite the surprise events, DRB-Hicom says "it is business as usual at Lotus" and they "fully support" the company. However, the results of the investigation will likely give a clear indication as to whether or not DRB-Hicom will sell Lotus.
