BMW has announced 42-year-old Karim Habib has become the company's head of design.
The Lebanon-born Canadian started his stint at the automaker in 1998, but was lured away by Mercedes in 2009. He eventually returned to BMW and become the company's head of exterior design in March 2011. During his tenure with BMW, Habib worked on the CS concept and the current-generation 7-Series.
In a statement, Habib said "I feel very honored and I look forward to this new challenge. Now I have the opportunity of working together with a great team to shape the future face of the BMW brand."
