Just yesterday, BMW announced the M5 is set to be treated to a special M Performance limited edition. Now we can reveal the same benefit will be blessed upon its smaller sibling. The video above has officially announced the BMW M3 M Performance Edition.

A total of 30 examples will be made available for purchase with a choice of red, white and blue finishes that will be produced in equal numbers and are available for the first time in the UK market. Performance updates are yet to be confirmed other than to state it will come with a high specification of standard equipment.

Speculation has stated that upgraded braking and suspension systems will be offered while the exterior will include a blacked out grille. The engine output is likely to remain the same as the standard M3 that comes with a 4.0-liter V8 unit generating 414bhp (309kW/420PS).
