Just as previously reported, Opel/Vauxhall has announced the name of their all-new city car, Adam, and released a couple of test prototype photos.

The Opel Adam will be based on a shortened platform for the next generation Corsa model and measures 3.7 meters long, approximately 15cm longer than the Volkswgen Up.

The Adam will feature a new engine family of three- and four-cylinder units ranging in displacement from 1.0- to 1.4-liters. The Euro-6 compliant engines will feature direct injection resulting in a 10 percent increase in fuel economy. Later in the Adam's production cycle Opel will introduce a new 1.6-liter in both diesel and petrol turbocharged versions.

In an effort to attract a younger consumer, the Adam will be quite stylish and feature lifestyle gadgets such as iPod integration.

The Opel Adam will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September and launch in Europe early 2013.

Once again, Opel has made a follow up comic book script in the PDF below.
