Nissan has just informed us of a short film they have created about the Nissan Juke-R street race in Dubai and a series of teaser videos to help promote it.
The short film, which was directed by award-winning film director Rob Kaplan and shot in high definition, is about PS3 Gran Turismo gamer-turned-professional race driver, Lucus Ordonez, who races the Juke R against Salah Salahuddin's supercar collection.
Held at the beginning of the year as a side show event for the Dunlop 24 Hours of Dubai race, the Juke-R was pitted against Salahuddin's Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes SLS AMG and Ferrari 458 Italia around a make-shift 0.58km race course at the Dubai International Marine Club. Ordonez beats them all by a large margin.
The Juke-R is the unholy union of a Nissan GT-R powertrain with an extensively modified Nissan Juke chassis. The all-wheel drive Juke-R produces 485 bhp (362 kW / 492 PS) and can accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100kph) in just 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 160mph (257kph).
Naturally, Nissan is feeding us these five teaser videos with three more on the way before releasing the full six minute short film on Thursday, May 3rd. Check them out above and below.
