A new 2013 Nissan GT-R (R35) has for the first time embedded itself well into the 10 second realm for quarter mile passes. The highlight of the feat is that the GT-R is completely stock.

Running under favorable weather conditions at the Palm Beach International Raceway, the 2013 model surpassed the 2012's best time of 11.07 @ 124mph with a fastest time of 10.87 seconds at 125.26 mph. This translates into 0-60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds, 60-130mph in 8.89 seconds and peak G-forces of 1.3 G's which were recorded on launch. The figures were compiled by Racelogic's VBOX.

DragTimes.com attributes the performance gain to the GT-R's 2013 model year updates which include more power and torque as well as an updated LC5 Launch Control system. The 2013 GT-R produces 545 hp (406 kW / 553 PS) and 463 lb-ft (627 Nm) of torque - an increase of 15 hp (11 kW / 15 PS) and 15 lb-ft (20 Nm) over the 2012 model (U.S. spec).
