Volkswagen has unveiled the 2013 Lavida at the Beijing Motor Show.

Drawing inspiration from the North American Passat, the model features an uninspired design with familiar front and rear fascias.

While the exterior styling won't win everyone over, even the entry-level model is equipped with anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control and front airbags.

Under the hood, three different engines will be available. There's no word on specifications, but Volkswagen said they will all have an "excellent price-to-performance ratio."
