SEAT has officially unveiled the Ibiza CUPRA concept.

Designed to preview the production model, the concept is described as an "every day" sports car that combines "driving fun with a high degree of functionality."

Dressed in Crono yellow paint, the high-performance hatchback is distinguished by an aggressive body kit, bi-xenon headlights and a center-mounted exhaust system. There's also a rear diffuser and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The cabin is a little dreary, but has two-tone leather sport seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel and unique instrumentation. Other highlights include gloss black trim and a removable infotainment system with a five-inch display.

Motivation is provided by a super- and turbocharged 1.4-liter TSI engine that develops 180 PS (132 kW / 178 hp) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed DSG transmission which sends power to the front wheels via an XDS electronically locking differential.
