According to a recent report, Fiat will introduce the Viaggio sedan at the Beijing Motor Show.
Automotive News is reporting the model will be a rebadged version of the Dodge Dart, which itself is based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. It will reportedly be about the same size as the Ford Focus sedan and measure 4670mm long by 1830mm wide.
The model is expected to be built at the Fiat-Guangzhou Auto plant in the Changsha Economic Zone of the Hunan province. The plant should have an initial production capacity of 140,000 vehicles annually, but that could rise to 250,000 units.
While the North American Dodge Dart offers a variety of engines, the Viaggio is slated to use naturally-aspirated and turbocharged versions of Fiat's 1.4-liter petrol.
Sources also say the company will release a hatchback variant and it could be exported to Europe as a Bravo replacement.
