Chevrolet has announced plans to offer a new 1LE package on 2013 Camaro SS models equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
Designed for track-day enthusiasts, the model is distinguished by a matte black hood, a front splitter, a rear spoiler and 20-inch alloy wheels with Goodyear Eagle Supercar G:2 tires.
Interior changes are limited, but include a flat-bottomed steering wheel and a short-throw shifter trimmed in sueded-microfiber.
On the handling front, the car is equipped with an electronic power steering system and a sport-tuned suspension with larger stabilizer bars and unique monotube rear dampers.
There's also a strut tower brace, a ZL1-sourced high-capacity fuel pump and an exclusive Tremec TR6060-MM6 six-speed manual transmission which has an air-to-liquid cooling system and a 3.91 final-drive ratio.
The 2013 Camaro 1LE will go on sale this fall and pricing will start at under $40,000.
In related news, all 2013 Camaros will be offered with the MyLink infotainment system. It has a seven-inch touchscreen display and an optional navigation system.
