We first caught wind of the special Ferrari SP12 EPC last week when the first pictures surfaced on the blogosphere, but now we can bring you a video that shows it in a little more detail.

The SP12 EPC is being made for legendary musician Eric Clapton who is reportedly set to part with £3 million for the honor. And generates it name from its owner (Special Project 12 Eric Patrick Clapton). The Ferraru 458 provides the base and it has been treated to a custom body kit inspired by the 512 BB.

The 4.5-liter V8 engine with 570 PS (419 kW / 562 hp) from the factory model would normally be enough but the 66-year old wanted to have a V12 equipped. Unfortunately the chassis for the 458 has not been built to handle the bigger power unit so Ferrari had to reject his request.

The project has been kept well under wraps by the Italian sports car maker and it remains to be seen if we are ever treated with the full official specifications. But if any details do arrive, you'll be sure to hear about them here on WCF.
