According to a recent report, Dacia is developing a new entry-level model that could be priced from €5,000 ($6,640).

According to a recent report, Dacia is developing a new entry-level model that could be priced from €5,000 ($6,640).

Expected to be called the Citadine, the model is reportedly a five-door hatchback that is about the same size as the Renault Twingo.

Additional information is limited, but the Citadine could ride on a newly-developed platform which will be used for a variety of upcoming models.

Engine options remain unconfirmed, but rumors suggest the car could be powered by a 0.9-liter three-cylinder with outputs of 60 PS (44 kW / 59 hp), 75 PS (55 kW / 74 hp) and 95 PS (70 kW / 94 hp).
