Ford has announced that the Tourneo Custom Van which was previewed at the Geneva Motor Show last month will hit European showrooms later this year. The original model was championed as a pre-production concept, however it is not expected to change at all come production. A fact that is apparent in the release of these new photos.
The Tourneo Custom features styling that is a far cry from the boxy look of the previous generation. It can be purchased with an eight or nine seat layout in short (4.97 metres) or long (5.34 metres) wheelbase.
Power is generated from a 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi diesel engine that incorporates Auto-Stop-Start technology and has a choice of three power levels between 100 PS (73 kW / 99 hp) and 155 PS (114 kW / 153 hp).
The full production version of the Tourneo Custom will be unveiled for the first time at the 2012 Birmingham Commercial Vehicle Show in April.
