The new BMW M3 prototypes have done a pretty good job of hiding from our cameras over the past few months. But now our spies have managed to get a glimpse of a development model on video giving WCF readers the best look and sound yet of the new high performance beast.
Whilst official technical details are being kept under wraps, rumors have surfaced that the 2014 M3 will be powered by a new tri-turbocharged 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine rated at around 450 hp (336 kW / 456 PS). We have also been assured of lower running costs due to the higher foxus on very low fuel consumption.
Additionally, the newest M3 will lose a bit of weight in comparison to its predecessor with the use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components.
Full details are due to be released later in the year.
