Hofele Design debuted their SR8 tuning package for the D4 Audi A8 at the Geneva Motor Show last week. The new body kit shows Hofele's interpretation of what an Audi RS8 should look like if it existed.

The new body kit consists of a complete front bumper with original RS5 mesh inserts, a rear apron with diffuser, a quad-pipe sports muffler and a rear trunk spoiler. The front bumper has big air intakes and the rear bumper apron houses a paintable diffuser with four tailpipes nestled within. Hofele-Design also offers the rear diffuser with a layer of real carbon as well and carbon mirror housings.

Engine tuning offered includes reprogrammed engine management which taps the unused reserves of the 4.2-liter V8 engine which brings power output from 372 HP (274 kw / 367 bhp) up to 390 HP (287 kw / 385 bhp) and the 4.2-liter TDI CR is tuned from 350 HP (257 kw / 345 bhp) up to 390 HP and a stomping 900 NM (664 lb-ft).

Inside, Hofele offers many different types of leather (smooth, rough or Alcantara (ecsaine / ultrasuede) in a two-tone pattern in addition to special stitching. Also available are leather-covered door panels and steering wheel.

The appearance is capped off with a variety of alloy wheels in sizes of 9J x 20 up to 10J x 22. The electronic speed-sensitive lowering module lowers the Audi A8 with air suspension up to 40mm. The system is only active on speeds under 70 km/h (43 mph), but for speeds over 70 km/h the system is deactivated for full comfort.
