According to a recent report, Land Rover is considering a new entry-level model to slot beneath the Freelander.

The Land Rover Freelander used to be one of the best selling crossovers in Europe, but it has been overshadowed by newer entries in the compact crossover segment.

To help make up for declining sales, the company is reportedly considering a new entry-level model. Additional information is limited, but it will apparently be a "leisure-oriented" vehicle with aggressive styling, sporty handling and a car-like interior.

The model is still several years away from being approved for production, so expect to learn more in the coming months.
