Back in January leaked images of the all-new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe / ix45 gave a solid rear view of the mid-size SUV and now Hyundai has released two exterior images of the side and front quater which leave little to the imagination.
Code named DM in Korea, the Santa Fe is the latest model to incorporate Hyundai's new Fluidic Sculpture design language but adopts its own aggressive style which Hyundai calls Storm Edge. The design features a hexagonal grille as its focal point, two-tone body kit and wider front and rear bumpers, creating a futuristic and urban-style SUV image.
Dynamic side character lines give a more aerodynamic appearance lending to a premium feel. Hyundai hints this aggressive premium design direction will be applied to the Hyundai's next-generation SUVs.
Engines are currently unknown but rumors have suggested a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 274 hp (204 kW / 278 PS) and 269 lb-ft (364 Nm) of torque will be available.
The Santa Fe has reached worldwide cumulative sales of about 2.56 million units (Korea: 680,000 / international: 1.95 million) since its debut in 2000.
The all-new third generation Santa Fe will have its world premiere at the New York Auto Show in early April.
