Development of the all-new BMW 4-Series is in top gear. We have spotted prototypes in both coupe and cabriolet body styles and now we are able to bring you artistic renderings of both models.

The 4-Series F32 Coupe and F33 Cabriolet will be replacing the outgoing 3-Series version of the same styles, further down the line they will also be joined by a four-door Gran Coupe. Dimensions will be slightly longer than their predecessors and are expected to rival the Audi A5 series.

Engines will include a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that boasts 240 bhp (179 kW / 243 PS) and a twin-turbo 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder engine producing 306 PS (225 kW / 302 hp).

We expect to see the 4-Series unveiled towards the end of this year. The Paris Show in September is a likely contender for the honor.
