Our spies have been on the prowl once again to catch a glimpse of a 2013 BMW 4-series Coupe prototype while it was out in cold weather conditions. It is still in its early stages of testing which explains the heavy camouflage seen here.

Dimensions should measure slightly longer than the 3-series coupe and as we can see from these spy shots, the profile is being remodelled to give a sportier outlook.
Engine options are currently unconfirmed, but we expect to see the units from the 328i and 335i make their way to the 4-series. The 328i uses a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that generates 240 bhp (179 kW / 243 PS) whilst the 335i's twin-turbo 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder engine makes 306 PS (225 kW / 302 hp).
Further down the line, M4 Coupe and Cabrio models will also join the line-up replacing the M3 versions. The M3 sedan will remain part of the 3-series.
