Ford has introduced the 2013 F-Series Super Duty Platinum.
Available exclusively in a crew cab configuration, the range-topping trim package will be offered on the F-250, F-350 and F-450 pickup.
Given its premium status, the truck features an upscale appearance with body color bumpers, chrome accents and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels.
Inside, the cabin is nicely equipped with premium leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel and faux wood trim. Other highlights include power-adjustable pedals, a garage door opener and a MyFord Touch infotainment system with GPS navigation. The top of the dashboard also has a new storage area which houses two USB ports, an SD card slot and a 12-volt charging port.
Under the hood, two engines are available. The 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine produces 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) and 800 lb-ft (1083 Nm) of torque, while the 6.2-liter V8 petrol develops 385 hp (287 kW / 390 PS) and 405 lb-ft (548 Nm) of torque.
Pricing remains a mystery, but the 2013 F-Series Super Duty Platinum will be launched later this year.
