Available this fall, the engine will produce 259 hp (193 kW / 263 PS) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque. It will enable the sedan to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 6.3 seconds.

Additional information is limited, but the engine features direct injection and will be offered in a variety of markets including the United States, Canada, and Israel.

In related news, Chevrolet confirmed the 2.5-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine has been officially rated at 197 hp (147 kW / 200 PS) and 191 lb-ft (259 Nm) of torque - 7 hp (5 kW / 7 PS) and 11 lb-ft (15 Nm) more than originally estimated.
