Not to be confused with the GT3 race cars, Gemballa has announced for the Geneva Motor Show the roadgoing Gemballa GT based on the McLaren MP4-12C.

Unsatisfied with the McLaren's "generic look" Gemballa set out to "imbue the missing emotion" with the Gemballa GT version. Gemballa CEO, Andreas Schwarz explains, "Our starting point is a aerodynamic styling kit and ultra-light forged alloy wheels, and we are developing an engine upgrade programme as well."

The Gemballa GT aerodynamic kit consists of a new front bumper/spoiler, side skirts, rear apron and a small rear wing. Gemballa asserts these components give the car improved high-speed stability.

The forged alloy wheels are one size larger to 20-inch diameter at the front and 21-inch at the rear.
