Holden has released the first details about the 2012 Colorado, ahead of its launch later this year.
Looking virtually identical to its Chevrolet counterpart, the model will be available in three body styles: single cab, space cab and crew cab. All will come equipped with airbags, electronic stability control and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution.
Interior pictures were not released, but Holden says the cabin will feature air conditioning, power windows and Bluetooth/iPod/USB connectivity.
Under the hood, two four-cylinder diesel engines will be available. The 2.5-liter unit produces 150 PS (110 kW / 148 hp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, while the 2.8-liter unit develops 179 PS (132 kW / 177 hp) and up to 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) of torque. With the latter engine, the Colorado has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs).
