Jaguar is reportedly considering a track-oriented XKR-S special edition which could be named after the Nürburgring.
The Jaguar XKR-S isn't a slouch, but the company is reportedly considering a track-oriented special edition which could be named after the Nürburgring.
Speaking with Car and Driver, Jaguar's global head of communications said the model would be designed for people who want to take their car to the track and then drive it home.
Little else is known about the vehicle, but it could feature an aerodynamic body kit, a fire-suppression system, racing seats and a roll cage. The rear seats could also be jettisoned to reduce weight and improve performance.
A concept could be introduced later this year, so expect to learn more in the coming months.
