The partnership between Renault and Daimler will reportedly spawn a high-end model for the French automaker.

Details are limited, but Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn confirmed the news in an interview with France Inter. He declined to go into specifics, but said the two companies would collaborate on the model's development.

There's no word on when the vehicle will be launched, but Automotive News says Renault will begin introducing the replacements for the Espace, Laguna, and Vel Satis in 2014.

Damiler recently previewed the Renault Kagoo based Citan panel van which launches in fall 2012.
