Dodge just unveiled the 2013 Dart at the North American International Auto Show and now there's word the company is developing an SRT variant.

According to Motor Trend, the model will feature an aggressive body kit, a sport-tuned suspension, larger alloy wheels and a rear spoiler.

Engine options remain unconfirmed, but the magazine speculates the SRT-4 could use Alfa Romeo's upcoming turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder or a turbocharged - and possibly larger displacement - version of the 2.0-liter Tigershark. Regardless of which mill is used, expect it to produce approximately 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS) and be paired to a dual-clutch transmission.
