Fiat has announced plans to offer the Brazilian-built Strada in Europe.

Available in three body styles (Short Cab, Long Cab, Crew Cab), the compact pickup is powered by a 1.3-liter MultiJet engine with 95 PS (70 kW / 94 hp) and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the model to average 5.3 L/100 km (44.3 mpg US / 53.3 mpg UK).

More importantly, the truck has a scratch-resistant bed, a towing capacity of 1000 kg (2,205 lbs) and a maximum payload capacity of up to 705 kg (1,555 lbs). Customers can also order an electronic locking differential to tackle tough terrain.

The Strada will begin arriving at dealerships shortly and Italian pricing starts €12,900.
