Mercedes has released a new video which shows the production of the SLS AMG GT3.
Mercedes has released the first part of a new video titled "The Marriage" which shows the production of the SLS AMG GT3 which is broken down to its core structure then married to the powertrain.
While the clip doesn't have any commentary, the GT3 has an aerodynamic body kit with a new front fascia, a ventilated hood, a carbon fiber front splitter and a rear diffuser. The car also has a carbon fiber safety cell, high-performance brakes, a six-speed sequential transmission and a locking rear differential.
Power comes from a 6.3-liter (6208 cc) V8 engine which is "virtually identical" to the one in the standard model. It enables the GT3 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 186 mph (300 km/h).
