Street & Racing Technology, the performance division for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands recently announced they would be teasing the new 2013 Viper on Facebook. They asked users to like their page and if they reached 10,000 likes before February 1st, the teaser would be released. Fortunately the milestone has been reachedand right on schedule the teaser has been released.

There are yet to be any confirmations on what will power the new model. Rumors have ranged from the Challenger's 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 to a huge 8.7 liter V10.

The Viper has been marketed under the Dodge brand in the past but it will be dropped for the new generation model and will be known as the SRT Viper. It is the flagship model for SRT - the in-house tuning arm of the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep brands and production numbers will be limited to just a few thousand in its first year.

We expect to see the 2013 Viper unveiled for the first time at the New York Auto Show in April.
