As the 2012 Olympics approaches MINI has used the opportunity to promote its sponsorship with a couple of new special editions that are inspired by the event's host. The MINI Baker Street & MINI Bayswater special editions both get there names from the famous London streets and receive an array of exclusive trimmings.
First up is the Mini Baker Street special edition, it takes its name from the famous street which is now one of the busiest shopping areas in London and originally gained its fame from fictional detective Sherlock Holmes.
It features an exclusive Rooftop Grey metallic paint, twin black stripes on the bonnet and is treated to a set of 16-inch ‘6-Star' twin-spoke light alloy wheels. Pepper White or Midnight Black body colors are optionally available. It can be ordered in the guise of the MINI One, One D, Cooper or Cooper D with pricing starting at £16,365 (OTR) for the base MINI One Baker Street.
The MINI Bayswater special edition is named after the vibrant area that is close to Hyde Park between the stylish Knightsbridge and Notting Hill areas. It is reserved only for the higher performing models of the MINI range: the Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD models.
It is recognisable by its Kite Blue metallic paint with blue and grey Sport Stripes on the bonnet and its 17-inch light alloy ‘Sandblast' wheels. Pricing for the MINI Bayswater special edition starts at £18,565 (OTR).
