For the fifth year running Audi has prepared a 2012 Super Bowl XLVI television commercial featuring the Audi S7 and its LED technology.
Although Audi is withholding details of the story theme, the upcoming 60 second spot will debut in the first quarter of the game which kicks off on February 5.
"With LED, there's no mistaking an Audi. Since pioneering the technology nearly ten years ago, LED lights have established the Audi persona have become one of the most recognizable features on the road," said Scott Keogh, Chief Marketing Officer, Audi of America. "Like our LEDs, this year's Super Bowl spot will be unmistakably Audi."
The five-door A7 Sportback with the new 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine produces 420 HP (309 kW / 414 bhp) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. Its full LED headlights are the closest re-creation of daylight available at 5,500 Kelvin. Benefits of the new lighting technology include less eye strain and require 50-percent less power alleviating draw from the alternator which in turn reduces load on the engine.
The television commercial advertisement is the work of San Francisco-based Venables Bell & Partners.
