Whilst we have already seen full details for the open-top 2013 Porsche Boxster roadster, we are yet to see the German sportscar maker treat us to its coupe sibling. The new 2013 Porsche Cayman has now been caught by an eagle eyed youtube user when it stopped briefly at some traffic lights in Stuttgart – the city that is home to Porsche headquarters.
The short clip doesn't reveal much more than we have seen in previous spy shots from last year, but it certainly gives a good feel of how the engine sounds. Despite this prototype wearing a little camouflage to cover its front and back end changes, we already know what is lying beneath as the styling will mimic the 2013 Boxster.
The same engine options will also be available. The base model will get a 2.7 liter engine that produces 265 HP (261 bhp / 195 kW) whilst the high performance Boxster S gets a bigger 3.4-liter engine delivering 315 HP (311 bhp / 232 kW).
Full official details for the new Porsche Cayman will be released later this year.
