A couple of pictures have surfaced online which purportedly show the production Audi R8 e-tron interior.
Posted by Audiblog.nl, the photographs reveal a cabin that has been outfitted with a revised steering wheel, a center console-mounted MMI controller and a new gear knob which is much smaller than the previously proposed unit (see the third photo for a comparison).
As you may recall, the R8 e-tron has a 53 kWh lithium-ion battery which powers four electric motors that develop 313 PS (230 kW / 308 hp) and 4,500 Nm (3,319 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and travel up to 250 km (155 miles) on a single charge. Once depleted, the battery can be replenished in six to eight hours with a standard household outlet.
