Mercedes AMG has released a time lapse video documenting the process of creating an SLS AMG GT3 tape sketch mural at the AMG Private Lounge in Affalterbach, Germany.
As a refresher, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 is priced from €334,000 (€397,460 with a 19% VAT) and features a new redesigned front fascia, a ventilated hood, a carbon fiber front splitter, a rear diffuser, and a huge wing. Other specifications include a carbon-fiber (CFRP) safety cell, a steel braking system, a six-speed sequential racing transmission (with steering wheel shift paddles), and an integrated multi-disc locking differential.
Power is provided by a 6.3-liter (6208 cc) V8 engine, which is "virtually identical" to the one in the standard SLS AMG with 571 PS (563 bhp / 420 kW). It allows the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 186 mph (300 km/h).
In related news, Former Formula One champion and DTM driver Mika Häkkinen recently made his racing return with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 where he competed in the six-hour International Le Mans Cup race in China last month. Unfortunately it looks like he didn't finish the race due to a crash or technical problems.
