The latest news surfacing on the web is the American manufacturer will be unveiling a new global production Buick crossover to the world's media on January 10th. The production Chevrolet Sonic RS will also get its world debut as well. Both models join the previously announced world debut of the all new Cadillac ATS.

The Buick crossover will be built on GM's long-wheel-base Theta platform that currently underpins the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain. We saw a styling preview of the model earlier this year at the Shanghai Auto Show in the form of the Buick Envision Concept.

Additionally, General Motors plans to unveil a further two Chevrolet concepts at their design center in North Hollywood on January 9th. A show debut will likely occur in Detroit on the following day.
