With the recent Toyota FT-86 / Scion FR-S leaks, it's easy to forget Hyundai is preparing to introduce a facelifted Genesis coupe.

Seen here in this accurate looking but fake image according to Hyundai USA, the updated model borrows a few cues from the Veloster playbook. Notable changes include a new hood, a prominent grille, restyled headlights and LED daytime running lights.

Engine options are expected to include an upgraded 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a revised 3.8-liter V6 with approximately 333 hp (248 kW / 338 PS) and 291 lb-ft (394 Nm) of torque.

The 2012 Genesis coupe could be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show, in January, so stay tuned for additional information.
