Fiesta ST Concept previews a production version which we expect to debut next year.
Ford will be bringing the Fiesta ST Concept stateside to the Los Angeles auto show to preview the production model which will be sold globally.
Essentially the same concept we saw in Frankfurt back in September, the Ford Fiesta ST features a 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 180 PS (132 kW / 177 hp) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission which allows for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of less than 7 seconds and a top speed of more than 220 km/h (137 mph).
The Ford Fiesta ST comes in a 5-door hatch body-style and is fitted with an aerodynamic body kit. It also features a lowered sport suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels and a dual-exhaust system.
We expect the production Ford Fiesta ST to debut sometime in 2012.
