Something old is made new again.
The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren has been turned into this 'world's fastest SLR' by a partnership that includes Platinum Motorsport, RENNtech, MACarbon and Exotics Boutique.
The body aerodynamics come courtesy of the Mansory Renovatio Body Kit while RENNtech supplies the performance upgrade which includes a modified supercharger. Output is around 770 hp (574 kW / 781 PS) and this SLR does the quarter-mile in 10.29 seconds at a speed of 134 mph (216 km/h).
RENNtech also upgrades the transmission hardware to accommodate a smoother transfer of all that power to the drive wheels.
For the suspension RENNtech adds Racing Coilovers with 3-way adjustability as well as an hydraulic lift kit that adjusts the height by 45 mm.
Wheels are the 20-inch Agetro M140 monoblock rims.
This SLR will be on display at SEMA in Las Vegas next month.
