Two street legal X-Karts driving through the traffic filled streets of downtown Tokyo.
This isn't the first time we've seen real Mario Kart on city streets. Surely, French prankster Remi Gaillard, who did this back in 2008, will have something to say, but nonetheless the fine lads at cliccar.com have given their take. But this time they didn't use race karts like Remi did. Instead they used two street legal X-Karts through the traffic filled streets of downtown Tokyo.
The X-Kart is described as a "mini sports car" which weighs 95 kilograms (209 lbs). It has a limited top speed of 55 km/h (35 mph), although delimited it can reach over 80 km/h (50 mph). A standard driver's license is required but not necessarily a helmet according to Japanese law.
Price is ¥379,800 / US$4,900.
